American Kennel Club

The American Kennel Club (AKC) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to upholding the integrity of its Registry, promoting the sport of purebred dogs and breeding for type and function. Founded in 1884, the AKC® and its affiliated organizations advocate for the purebred dog as a family companion, advance canine health and well-being, work to protect the rights of all dog owners and promote responsible dog ownership.

 

Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of America

Founded on St. Patrick’s Day 1962, the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of America (SCWTCA) became officially recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1973. Its purpose is to do everything in its power to preserve and protect the breed and its standard. It is the only national Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier breed club which is recognized and sanctioned by the AKC.

Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Database

The preeminent resource on Wheaten health. Funded by the Endowment, the health database is an online repository of breeding and health records going back almost a hundred years.

Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Endowment

Started in 2004 by the SCWTCA, the endowment contributes to funding research and providing owners and breeders with tools and information to manage their furry friend's health.
